City of Heroes: Sam's favorite MMORPG
City of Heroes Trailer
What's special about it?
City of Heroes is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (mmorpg) that allows you to create and play as a hero or villain. You get to
choose everything, from your costume to the powers you use for fighting. You can even create your own story arcs/missions to play through. They have
different archetypes to fit all play styles whether that is melee, range, healing, crowd control, etc. This was THE super hero game before super heroes
broke into the mainstream. In this game you can make anything. If you want to be Superman, Hulk, Wolverine, Deadpool, etc., you can be! There are also multiple
cities with giant monsters and threats. You can fly, teleport, super jump, super speed, etc. all over. It's all here. This game is definitely the most fun when played with friends.
The game is from 2004, so the graphics can look a bit dated at times, but trust me when I say this only adds to this games charm. The game
still holds up well, and is a ton of fun to play. You can play alone or with friends. Back in the day I used to PvP (Player vs Player) in this game quite a bit.
The PvP is not great anymore, but everything else is still such a fun experience, that I highly recommend this one anyways. Especially if you love comic books,
superhero movies, or love dabbling with your creativity. Best of all this game is 100% free to play with absolutely no microtransactions of any kind.
A side note as well, this trailer is from before the game closed down. It is a long story how the game got revived, but the important thing is that City of Heroes is back.
The game is still actively being developed as well. This game is pure magic, everyone, regardless of age, reflexes, etc. should try this one out. This
game was way ahead of its time in many aspects, definitely not a game anyone should overlook.
